Black Dog
My little black dog is gone today. Blackie Bruce left us at 1:45 am.
Blackie actually belongs to my sister-in-law, but I am the officially doggie sitter for her. Whenever Miss and my brother would take Lil' llama on vacation, I would keep the sweet babies. I don't think I ever envied one trip due to the unconditional love that was showered on me, while they were gone.
Blackie always gave the best licks! Not just little pecks of a lick, but the kind that go from the bottom of your jaw, clear up to your forehead.
I am finding an odd comfort in the fact that my bro is with better company now, but damn, I miss that crazy dog.

It's a sad day for us, but EB has a buddy, and you know he ran barking like crazy through the gates, probably God has already started saying "Get off my leg you crazy dog". And of course, all the best stories must begin with- "Well first Blackie drank pond water!"
There'll never be another one, that's for sure. The little dog house is very empty now, and somehow it's harder to cry when that slurpy dog isn't here to lick them up for me...
I hope he knows how much he'll be missed!
Take that back... not hard to cry at all... tears are falling like rain.

Well, you know my and boobie's feelings on these things. I hope you and Miss are well. Make sure you guys take good care of the other sweet baby, it can be hardest of the surviving ones. I'll be thinking of you.
Carl Sagan once said that animals were smarter than humans and more evolved. He said that dolphins can understand multiple commands given by their trainers, but humans have yet to understand one dolphin communication. I have always thought that dogs were put here to watch over us stupid humans. I'm so sorry that you have lost a dear friend.
